I saw a demonic force last night, just as I was about to fall asleep.
I wasn’t sure if it was something I was going to dream or if it was something that had been attacking me lately as I have been under severe attack.
I was not afraid but it was very creepy and meant harm.
Jesus’ name is enough to drive them away but I was still puzzled about the purpose of this
and what it meant. I knew it was at work.
Was it shown to me to battle or to realize it had a position there and I was to move on?
I’ll pray about its meaning.
Sometimes God moves us from a circumstance or situation because it is time to go.
There might be positions given to the powers of darkness.
That does not necessarily mean we should wage war against them.
Our battle is fought by the Lord and only when we seek Him and we know we are to battle.
Most people will not agree with that as there is a belief in the church that we can battle the devil whenever we choose to.
If you’ll notice, the kings of old in the Bible sought the Lord before a battle.
Shall we go up? Will you deliver our enemies into our hand?
God blessed and honored those who sought Him before.
If you’ll notice every battle fought and won was with God’s blessing.
The noble kings sought Him again and again.
There are times when we know we are to battle. David didn’t have to hear a special word from the Lord, he knew Goliath was an enemy and someone had to fight him. David had no fear.
And David spake to the men that stood by him, saying,
What shall be done to the man that killeth this Philistine, and taketh away the reproach from Israel?
for who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God? 1 Samuel 17:26
There are other times when we are not sure.
We cannot go up against whole cities and command the demons to leave.
We only have what the Lord gives us.
He can give us the faith and power from His hand when He chooses.
We must pray and elevate the Lord Jesus in every circumstance we are allotted.
The demons are afraid of Jesus and His name as it is the name above all names.
As soon as I prayed about this thing, I knew I was to bind it.
God may reveal more to me as time goes on, but for now it’s bound by the mighty name of Jesus.
Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name:
That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth,
and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:9-11
