Accepting from the Lord’s Hand

For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee,
Fear not; I will help thee. Isaiah 41:13

Sometimes God lets His people know
when He has a hard situation for them to walk through
Jesus knew in advance
He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying,
O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me,
except I drink it, thy will be done.
Matthew 26:41

Job had no clue but accepted it:
And said, Naked came I out of my mother’s womb,
and naked shall I return thither:
the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away;
blessed be the name of the Lord
. Job 1:21
Job said to his wife:
But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God,
and shall we not receive evil?
In all this did not Job sin with his lips. Job 2:10

Jesus said essentially the same thing to Peter
when Peter tried to protect Jesus from being taken away to be crucified:
Then said Jesus unto Peter, Put up thy sword into the sheath:
the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it? John 18:11

Joseph did not know anything when his brothers sold him into slavery
He did not know he would be imprisoned
and then be the second man of the kingdom so he would save his family
But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good,
to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.
Now therefore fear ye not: I will nourish you, and your little ones.
And he comforted them, and spake kindly unto them
. Genesis 50:20-21

Moses knew some things before they happened,
other things, he learned of afterward
And he said, Behold, I make a covenant:
before all thy people I will do marvels,
such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation:
and all the people among which thou art shall see the work of the Lord:
for it is a terrible thing that I will do with thee. Exodus 34:10
And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant,
for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after; Hebrews 3:5

David knew he was going to be King but did not know when
And he sent, and brought him in. Now he was ruddy,
and withal of a beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to.
And the Lord said, Arise, anoint him: for this is he.
Then Samuel took the horn of oil,
and anointed him in the midst of his brethren:
and the Spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward.
So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah
. 1 Samuel 16:12-13

God is sovereign and He does what He does
He chooses whether we are to know or
whether things are hidden from us
He does whatever is best
When we walk with Jesus, we are to fear Him,
not what men can do to us And fear not them which kill the body,
but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him

which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Matthew 10:28

Our circumstances are in God’s hands
and He will give us what we need to endure,
to be faithful to Him, if we draw on His strength
