All these are the beginning of sorrows. Matthew 24:8
Jesus warned us of what was coming in the End Times.
He told us to watch and pray.
He made sure it was in His word to let us know that we are not to be afraid,
but bad things are going to happen.
He gave us signs to watch for.
He told us of the fig tree as a way to know that this time will also have key indicators of what is coming.
Now learn a parable of the fig tree;
When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. Matthew 24:32-35
The disciples knew about and asked Jesus about the end of time.
Somehow they knew.
And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying,
Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming,
and of the end of the world? Matthew 24:3
That is because God has put that knowledge in us, that we know there is an end.
He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in their hearts,
yet so that man can’t find out the work that God has done from the beginning even to the end. Ecclesiastes 3:11 WEB
As we gain momentum and move toward the End of Time,
this will be a great challenge for us to stay close to the Lord,
there will be many obstacles to overcome and He will be with us every step of the way.
Let us keep our eye on the prize, the hope of glory, to see Jesus face to face,
with sweat on our brow, but with clean hands and pure hearts.
