All things are lawful unto me,
but all things are not expedient:
all things are lawful for me,
but I will not be brought under the power of any. 1 Corinthians 6:12
We really can do whatever we want
Nobody is stopping us
It’s about how we want to live, whom we want to serve
We all tango with the flesh
Some of us have given the flesh a major position, the lead
The bible has given many consequences that will be our fate
when we refuse to follow God’s commands
God has made His wishes clear
Just because we can, does not mean we should
Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
Jesus said unto him,
Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart,
and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
This is the first and great commandment.
And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Matthew 22:36-40
If we obey the two greatest commandments, they are our guidelines
That is the reason the Law was written, to guide us
Every choice that we make should consider God
and how what we do affects those around us
These two commandments should be a part of us,
part of our thinking and how we make decisions,
how we function and operate
Many like to challenge the word, challenge righteousness,
challenge the law or the precepts written in the bible
Where is humility?
Where is the fear of the Lord?
And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord,
choose you this day whom ye will serve;
whether the gods which your fathers served
that were on the other side of the flood,
or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell:
but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. Joshua 24:15
God will not argue with you, if you choose to follow other gods,
but He will be very sad and you will grieve His Holy Spirit
We risk a lot following darkness
We can get swept away by its deception
Following our own lusts and pleasures,
seeking to justify sin or serving other gods or our fleshly desires
Enter in by the narrow gate;
for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction,
and there are many who enter in by it.
How narrow is the gate and the way is restricted that leads to life!
There are few who find it. Matthew 7:13-14
Ignore the law and commandments at your own risk
They are given to us to lead us and guide us
While we are free to do what we want, many things are not profitable
Stay close to God and listen and learn from Him and His word,
so He will receive you well when you stand before Him
