As one whom his mother comforts, so will I comfort you

As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you;
and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem. Isaiah 66:13

Jesus, He is our comforter.

Jesus sent us His Holy Spirit who is ever-present,
loving, comforting us in all of our moments.
Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;
2 Corinthians 1:13

I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. John 14:18

In the Old Testament, the Holy Spirit was present.
God does not change.
This is speaking of Jesus and the Holy Spirit:
And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him,
the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might,
the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord
; Isaiah 11:22
The Prophets had His Holy Spirit on them heavily.
Certain persons in scripture had access to God
in the way that we think of now, Moses, Daniel, David, Job are just a few.
God has always been close to those whose hearts are toward Him.
His Holy Spirit is now loosed on the whole earth.
He is close to everyone and available.
Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away:
for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart,
I will send him unto you
. John 16:7

Those moments when we are fine, we know He’s there in case we need Him.
Sometimes we feel a tremendous amount of stress during our day,
we need the Holy Spirit just to make it through some situations.
He is there for us as much or as often as we want Him to be.
Hopefully, we want Him around us much.
Those moments when we need Him,
He is there to guide us and comfort us.

We need a lot of comfort these days.
So much distress and things go so fast,
There are money issues, time issues, all sorts of needs that come before us, people that need us, logistics just to live in this fast-paced world

The city has its stresses and the country life has its needs as well
It’s true, we can alleviate some stressors.
How we spend our time and how to lighten our load,
the Holy Spirit can help us to make those changes.
Changes that will give us a better way, a better way to serve the Father.
Our time is valuable.
Everyone’s time is valuable.
God’s time is valuable
and He cherishes you and wants you to find comfort in Him.
This realization is beautiful.
Let us take it to heart.
