Be Careful Whom You Trust

Some trust in chariots, and some in horses:
but we will remember the name of the Lord our God. Psalm 20:7
Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses,
and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen,
because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the Lord! Isaiah 31:1

Trusting in anything other than the Lord is vanity
That does not mean we should not be wise
However, even when you think you have it all figured out,
that you have all the things you think you will need for the day of trouble,
you will find you are still lacking

We are about to enter very troubling times
Some have many guns, their ammo may run out,
their ammo or guns could be stolen or confiscated,
their food supplies could be destroyed
We do not know what may happen in the future
Just like everything we do, we need to seek God’s wisdom and direction
Our plans will fail, no matter how great they are

We also know there will come a time when we cannot buy or sell
We do not know the loss we could suffer
God knows and God has things all figured out for us
We can still trust Him
The other things we trust in might not cut it

So, your horses and chariots will not be there for you
But God will
He may give you horses and chariots so-to-speak
But trusting in other things apart from God will give you nothing but grief

That is the same with man’s doctrine
Drink waters out of thine own cistern,
and running waters out of thine own well.
Proverbs 5:15
Hear from God on your own, have your own relationship with Him,
Keep close to Jesus and listen to Him in the days ahead
He may be the only One who sticks by you as men’s hearts will fail

Trust in no one but Jesus the Christ
Learn of Him and His ways
Put off seeking answers from others,
gaining info is good,
going before the Lord for answers is better

The most important thing we can do to prepare for the coming days
is to learn more about Jesus and to hear His voice
He is speaking and advising each of us in our situations
Listen intently
