Deception is everywhere.
it is on every bill board.
It is in every commercial, every ad.
Deception is hard to pinpoint sometimes.
It can be very subtle, always mixed with truth.
Every religion on the planet has deception.
I would like to say with the exception of Christianity,
but there is error and deception coming from many teachers in Christianity as well.
Loving the truth is key. Knowing the truth and then when you hear the truth in the word,
humbling yourself before it will be an indicator of choosing to love the truth.
Serving Jesus is a choice.
Choosing to love the truth takes effort.
It goes back to Choose ye this day whom you will serve, as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
(from Joshua 24:15)
When Jesus walked on the Earth, He had many followers.
At times, many of them would be offended in His words.
They walked away from Jesus when He said some things.
That is not loving the truth.
When He spoke of His body and His blood, many could not handle that.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on Me hath everlasting life. I am that bread of life.
Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead.
This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.
I am the living bread which came down from heaven:
if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh,
which I will give for the life of the world. John 6: 47-51
And some left Him. Looking at John Chapter 6:
From that time many of His disciples went back, and walked no more with Him. v 66
I love this part:
Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? v 67
Then Simon Peter answered Him, Lord, to whom shall we go? Thou hast the words of eternal life. v 68
Keep following Jesus and no man.
Keep listening, keep reading His word, keep praying and most of all, keep loving the truth.
