Be of Good Cheer

These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace.
In the world ye shall have tribulation:
but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
John 16:33

So, be of good cheer, Jesus has overcome the world
That means anything and everything that we encounter,
He has overcome, He has already won,
He has the answers to any and all affliction we might encounter

Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father,
and He shall presently give Me more than twelve legions of angels
?
Matthew 26:53
Sounds easy enough, right?
God watches over us and, if we need Him, He’s there for us
In this particular case, Jesus was saying, My Father could deliver Me,
but His will is that I go through this situation, which was His crucifixion

Paul learned to be content in whatsoever circumstances he encountered
Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned,
in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content
. Philippians 4:11
This is true faith, trusting that, if your life is in God’s hands,
that He truly is in charge, letting things go into His hands,
no matter what they are, not fighting the circumstances,
rather letting God be in charge and trusting that He doeth all things well

And were beyond measure astonished, saying, He hath done all things well:
He maketh both the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak. Mark 7:37

We belong to Jesus if we have committed our lives to Him
Each situation we encounter, we know He works things out for good
So, be of good cheer, we are just passing through,
this Earth is only our temporary home
We belong to the Most High God
He is faithful and able to deliver us from evil
and to walk with us through the valley of the shadow of death

Additional Scriptures:

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:28

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Matthew 6:13

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil: for thou art with me;
thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Psalm 23:4
