Bearing Others’ Burdens

Whose burdens are we to bear?
One Another’s
It’s the same idea as treating all as though they were Jesus Himself
Each person we meet, each person we can help or pray for
or have compassion on
Doing this unto the least of these:
And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you,
Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these My brethren,
ye have done it unto Me
. Matthew 25:40

When you see another human in need, whether a brother or sister in Christ,
or someone you consider an enemy,
consider the Lord and how He would have you to respond
God loves a cheerful giver,
this compassion on another should not be done as a requirement,
Jesus really wants us to care for the people He puts in our paths,
like we would care for Him if they were Jesus
This is a hard word and it’s hard to allow the Holy Spirit to teach you to have compassion on any human like you think you would have on the Lord
His word says:
If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar:
for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen,
how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
1 John 4:20

One of my biggest struggles has been
having compassion on those who do not work,
who ask for money, who are walking about,
they are called houseless, the homeless, druggies
It has taken the Lord much effort to help me to see things His way
and effort on my part to be humble, for me to commit my feelings to Him,
and to find compassion for people who are in dire circumstances
My judgments have been unfounded
God has taught me much and has given me compassion for these people
I have read interesting studies, talked to some of them, tried to help them
I have a hard time giving them money directly

My efforts, when I make them, which are sporadic, and honestly, few,
has been to contribute to the agencies that help them
I could contribute more than I do
My heart is more interested in other places
and God continues to work in my heart
I know how I feel inside when I see them and my heart has changed
The Holy Spirit has given me much more compassion
I also know and realize that we all may be in their position one day,
if it ever comes to the inability to buy or sell
without the mark in our lifetime as is foretold in scripture

Whoso stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor,
he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard.
Proverbs 21:13

What does that mean?
Ask God to teach you what it means
Jesus was pleased with the Good Samaritan, if only we can be like him:
And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying,
Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?
And he answering said,
Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul,
and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind;
and thy neighbour as thyself.
And He said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do,
and thou shalt live. But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus,
And who is my neighbour?

And Jesus answering said,
A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.
And by chance there came down a certain priest that way:
and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.
And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side. But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him,
he had compassion on him,
And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine,
and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn,
and took care of him. And on the morrow when he departed,
he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him,
Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more,
when I come again, I will repay thee. Which now of these three,
thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves?
And he said, He that shewed mercy on him.
Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.
Luke 10:25-37

Go, and do thou likewise…
