I have a personal business transaction going on.
The man owns his own company.
He has his ways of doing things and I have mine.
it is my money and his ideas overreach into my territory and he does what he wants anyway.
I have had to be very strong to stand my ground.
I got quite miffed the other day.
The situation was affecting my spiritual equilibrium.
The Lord called a full-stop.
Let it go, trust Me to work all things together for good.
Gulp.
Yes, I can do that.
I do trust You.
This all is still being worked out.
We are not there yet.
He and I have very different ideas about some things.
And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely:
for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light. Luke 16:8
I do not care a lot about money.
I am also not dumb.
Sometimes I have to let things go when people have done me wrong.
That is not because I don’t know my rights within the Law.
It has been because I have known the Holy Spirit wants me to let it go, no matter what the cost.
We have nothing without what the Lord has given us or allowed us to have that we may serve Him.
A beautiful thought from Proverbs:
Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches;
feed me with food convenient for me:
Lest I be full, and deny Thee, and say, Who is the Lord?
or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain. 30:8-9
We have what we have so we can serve the Lord.
And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth.
But thou shalt remember the Lord Thy God: for it is He that giveth thee power to get wealth,
that He may establish his covenant which He sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.
Deuteronomy 8:17-18
If we desire riches or hide unforgiveness inside, it will ooze out of our pores and will taint all it touches.
Sometimes being right does not mean what it seems to mean.
Contention can fill a situation even when you are right.
It can take negative energy and infect you with self-righteousness.
That is why the Lord warned us, Vengeance is Mine, I will repay.
We need to be sensitive to Jesus and let Him deal with those who have wronged us.
That does not mean we never stand up for ourselves.
We are to be very sensitive to the Holy Spirit who will bear witness of what God is asking of us.
No act of the enemy, spiritual or mortal, is worth having a negative impact on our relationship with God.
