Being busy is not where it’s at.
Being obligated to man is not of God.
Walk with Jesus.
Seek Him, seek His face.
Mary and Martha are good examples of the difference.
Mary knew how to let things be and to put Jesus at front and center.
Martha was told by Jesus that she was wasting her time doing good things.
She might never have understood.
And Jesus answered and said unto her,
Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:
But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part,
which shall not be taken away from her. Luke 10:41-42
Jesus never apologized for what He said.
Never in all of the Old Testament or the New,
God never was sorry He upset someone.
He said what He said and He meant what He said.
Our world today is full of busyness. Just like Martha.
Does God get our leftover time or do we put Him first?
Our families, jobs, the needs of our church and communities are all important,
but not more so than our time with the Lord.
What if you gave Jesus of your first fruits?
And let the others have the leftover time instead?
That is how it should be, our relationship with Jesus should come first.
I had a friend years ago who did not tithe.
I believe tithing is important.
I talked to her about it and suggested she ask the Lord
how much she should tithe and to be faithful with that.
She did. He gave her an amount.
I said, really? That is all?
She said that’s what He told her and it was going to be difficult for her.
I talked to the Lord about it.
I got silence. In other words, it was none of my business.
That’s the way it is with time.
Nobody can tell you how much time you should dedicate to the Lord each day,
except God.
Ask Him and see what He says.
That time you decide upon is between you and Him.
Be faithful with whatever you decide.
Maybe it will be more than one block of time, maybe smaller blocks of time.
Daniel bowed before the Lord 3 times a day.
Jesus knows our challenges, all of them.
It’s not important how we put Jesus first, just that we do.
