For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13
Sometimes things seem too simple.
We can call upon the Lord and be saved.
That is because it is recognizing that He is God and that you are not.
The proud will not do this.
It will take humility to call upon the Lord.
The times are very dark.
It can be hard to find God in the thickness of the darkness.
And the Lord said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand toward heaven,
that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt,
even darkness which may be felt. Exodus 10:21
While we have not yet been covered in darkness,
we can notice that the times are dark. It is time to seek the Lord.
Seek ye the Lord while He may be found, call ye upon Him while He is near:
Isaiah 55:6
Not everyone will respond with fervor.
The Book of Revelation expounds on this:
And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues
yet repented not of the works of their hands,
that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass,
and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:
Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries,
nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts. Revelation 9:20-21
Even when God’s Judgment is falling, they do not repent and turn from evil.
Rather than accept that they are not righteous, they remain stout against God.
Some eyes will never be opened and they will never see, never hear.
But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.
Matthew 13:16
