Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain thee:
He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. Psalm 55:22
How do you do that?
First of all, you have to realize that He wants our burdens,
that He truly cares for us and all of the things that concern us
Keeping us free from the cares of this world
Making Jesus our focus
He is strong and has unlimited strength and power
Jesus has asked us to give Him our burdens:
Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden,
and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you,
and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart:
and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light. Matthew 11:28-30
Keeping our eyes on Jesus is key
and trusting that whatever comes our way, He is faithful and will help us:
These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace.
In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer;
I have overcome the world. John 16:33
Jesus has big shoulders and a forgiving heart:
For mine iniquities are gone over mine head:
as an heavy burden they are too heavy for me. Psalm 38:4
God does not expect us to go this road alone
He is right there beside us
Whatever we need, He is there to hear
But my God shall supply all your need
according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19
Stay close to Jesus and stay close to the brethren
We need each other:
not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together,
as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another,
and so much the more as ye see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10:25
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. 1 Peter 5:7
