Their feet run to evil.
War is in their hearts.
Blood is on their hands.

While the righteous still honor the Lord and try as hard as they may to love their enemies.

Things will get much worse.
I said to the Lord,
“We are almost at the point of my vision years ago where I saw much blood in the streets.”
The fulfillment of that vision will come quickly and our old life will be soon forgotten.
Persecution is on its way.
When it is our time, we might not be able to escape and must trust and cling to Jesus for our strength.
We do not know the future in its fulness,
but He gave us clues in His word of how difficult these times will be.

Some of God’s servants are already experiencing martyrdom.
What a glorious honor to give our lives for Him.
I trust that at some point we will lose our fear of death if we haven’t already.
Yet, we still have a desire to save our lives. It seems innate.

And when He had opened the fifth seal,
I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God,
and for the testimony which they held:
 And they cried with a loud voice, saying,
How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood
on them that dwell on the earth? 
And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them,
that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren,
that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled. Revelation 6:9-11

We never know which of us may be standing before His throne in white robes after having been martyred.

Seek Jesus and His word to not try to save your life.
For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
Matthew 16:25
Hand your life over to Jesus and do your best to live for Him,
Ask Him to help you not love this world and to be afraid of what man can do.

And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul:
but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Matthew 10:28

And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne
sand the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand,
and thousands of thousands; Revelation 5:11

And then I heard this scripture:

And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened:
and another book was opened, which is the book of life:
and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books,
according to their works. Revelation 20:12

Seeing this in the spirit was awe inspiring. It was a knowledge I have from reading the scriptures,
but to see it was something else. And, I thought, I know that guy! That is my Savior, our Creator,
the Living God, Maker of Heaven and Earth, the Sea and the Dry land.
