I do believe that one person can have a personal prophecy for someone else.
That happened in the Bible, in both the Old Testament and the New.
Nathan had a prophecy for King David and its purpose was for the Lord to correct King David,
for him to realize his folly and sin before the Lord and to reconcile to the Lord.
Another time in the New Testament where there was a personal prophecy:
Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord?
behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out. Acts 5:9
This caused great fear among those who knew about it.

So, yes, there are personal prophecies still today.
The key is this: Who is being exalted?
In the case of the man last night who called himself a prophet, the man was being exalted.
He was even taking the place of God: You call me and I will answer you.
A true personal prophecy is from the Lord. It glorifies the Lord. It edifies the person to be closer to Jesus,
to seek Him, to read His word, to follow Him.
By this person putting himself into the position that these people call him on the phone
and then he tells them a word from God is going to be spoken.
A true prophet will not give him or herself any credit. They are a vessel and they speak God’s word and ALWAYS glorify God.
They never take the credit. If they do, they are a false prophet. It’s pretty simple.

That is difficult for people to accept.
A personal prophet or even a teacher can set themselves up to be a mediator between people and God.
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 1 Timothy 2:5

People who do not know the word of God well can fall into this trap.
Jesus wants each of us to have a relationship with Him.
A personal prophecy can sometimes be a confirmation of what God might be telling you.
Sometimes God might tell someone that they will be a pastor or have some other gift.
If a prophet tells you something, you still need to seek the Lord about it, to test it.
A prophet’s job is not to tell you what to do.
It is up to us to take what is said to us as from the Lord and question and seek Him
and never ever ever look to that person who said they prophesied to be as important to us as is God.
If God really is calling someone to do something, that person will know it is from the Lord
by verification in their own relationship with God.
A personal prophecy might be to encourage them to seek the Lord about it.
But under no circumstances are we to follow a person,
whether a pastor or a doctrine or a teacher or a person who calls themselves a prophet
to take the place of God in our hearts and minds and to follow what they tell us.
It can be confirmation, but never the only instruction we hear.
We all have the Holy Spirit and are instructed in the Word of God to listen to. and Seek Him.

Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth:
for He shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, 
that shall He speak: and He will shew you things to come. John 16:13

My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me: John 10:27

Find more scriptures in the Bible as you read.
You will see that prophets are not supposed to operate as fortune tellers or spiritual guides.
That falls under the category of divination and that causes deception.
Beware.

That is why Jesus spoke in parables. So, those who refused Him would not understand.
That is why He hides the Kingdom from some people.
If your eyes have been opened and your understanding has been enlightened, you have been invited.
Consider that an honor and privilege and no not spurn it.
Do not refuse Him or you may be like these ones:
For I say unto you, That none of those men which were bidden shall taste of my supper. Luke 14:24

So much talking in our world today.
God wants us to listen.
Listen to Him.
He has much to tell us.
He has much to teach us.
His Holy Spirit is constantly wooing, beckoning us to sit at His feet.
Like Mary, not Martha who was worried and busy with many earthly things.
It is hard to be calm in the midst of the storm.
Like when Jesus said, “Peace, be still.” to calm the storm the disciples were in.
Jesus was not worried. He was sleeping, on a pillow.
He knew the Father had Him in His hand.
We too should know that our lives are in His hand.
Once our lives are no longer ours, and we are called according to His purpose,
we can then rest assured that He is working all things together for our good.

Give Jesus some quiet time.
In the stillness of your heart.
Adoring and cherishing His majestic awesomeness and wonder.
Just listening.
See what He shows you or tells you.
My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me: John 10:27

Be still, in His presence.

Thou God seest me; thou hast been pleased to take notice and care of me,
and graciously to manifest thyself unto me.

And the angel of the Lord found her by a fountain of water in the wilderness,
by the fountain in the way to Shur. And He said, Hagar, Sarai’s maid, whence camest thou?
and whither wilt thou go? And she said, I flee from the face of my mistress Sarai.
 And the angel of the Lord said unto her, Return to thy mistress, and submit thyself under her hands. 
And the angel of the Lord said unto her, I will multiply thy seed exceedingly,
that it shall not be numbered for multitude.
And the angel of the Lord said unto her, Behold, thou art with child, and shalt bear a son,
and shalt call his name Ishmael; because the Lord hath heard thy affliction.
And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man’s hand against him;
and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.
And she called the name of the Lord that spake unto her,
Thou God seest me: for she said, Have I also here looked after him that seeth me? Genesis 16:7-13

The Angel of the Lord in the Old Testament is always Jesus.
He knew why she was there. He was asking for her to say out loud what was the crux of the matter.
He told Hagar several things:
Go back and submit yourself to Sarah
I will multiply thy seed exceedingly
You are with child
You shall bear a son
His name is Ishmael
He will be a wild man
He will tango with everyone
He will still live among his brethren

Then, Hagar called God, the God that sees me.

Am I a God at hand, saith the Lord, and not a God afar off?
Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the Lord.
Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord. Jeremiah 23:22-23

Hagar’s realization that the Lord was there with her is a beautiful thing.
God sees me.
He knows who I am.
The next step is having Him know you.
That comes with effort on our part and God will respond to our seeking Him.

Do you remember all the miracles He has done in your life,?
All the answered prayer? All the changes He has made?
All the things He has taught you about Himself and about yourself?

And when I passed by thee, and saw thee polluted in thine own blood,
I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live; yea,
I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live. Ezekiel 16:6

God was speaking to Jerusalem.
Jerusalem was just like many of us who trusted in our own beauty and strength.
God kept working on us to bring us to where we could be as we gave Him more of ourselves.
As we surrendered more of ourselves and we allowed God to take our lives and let them be broken so He could reform us into the vessels He created us to be. That takes humility and redirection from the Lord that brings us to the place where we can give up all.

Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker! Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth.
Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou? or thy work, He hath no hands? Isaiah 45:9

And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it. Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying,  O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the Lord. Behold, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel. Jeremiah 18:4-6

Without allowing Jesus to form us and mold us, we will remain broken vessels, unfit for His use.
It takes humility before the Lord to be able to see what He is showing you about yourself
so that you will be willing to let Him exact His purpose in your life.
It is not easy.
Sometimes, it is very painful to let go of things you hold dear
so He can remove them and circumcise your heart.
While circumcision is a painful process in the flesh, it is also a painful process in the spirit.
Bowing down and committing those things that God requires from us will be painful at times.
Remember where you were and consider where you are now and how He brought you here.

Prayer:
Blessed Redeemer, Mighty Savior, Lord of Heaven and Earth. It is our honor and wonder to know that You created us to bring You glory and it is our choice how much we allow you to work in our lives. Let us consider Your ways higher than our ways and let us be willing to give freely of ourselves unto You.
In Jesus’ Mighty name, Amen.

There is a hidden meaning behind buying the truth.
Of course we cannot really buy the truth with money. We can purchase it with non-monetary things.
What might those things be?

The cost of truth comes at a heavy price. All those who have preached the truth and those who believe the truth and follow the truth have given part of their selves to obtain it and to defend it.

That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love,
and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding,
to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;
In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Colossians 2:2-3

The treasures of Jesus come with a price.

Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found,
he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.
Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: 
Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.
Matthew 13:44-46

If you do not find the things of God of Great Treasure, they will not be so to you.
You will miss the true meaning of your existence and you will be forever without God as your choice.

Those words were spoken by an unbelieving Roman Centurion. He was there at Jesus’ final moments,
He witnessed Jesus’ death. Maybe it was the Earthquake?
In Matthew 27:45 toward the end of the Crucifixion, the sky was dark from the 6th hour to the 9th hour
And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour
It seems likely he did not see the other things the saints rise from the dead and appear to people.
He knew who Jesus said He was before the crucifixion, but still was not convinced.
God’s word never comes back empty. It accomplishes what God sets it forth to do.
Jesus said He was the Son of God and the Centurion realized it after he had directed the crucifixion.

it takes much for us to realize who Jesus is. Jesus Himself has to show us.
Many of the others there witnessed the same events.
The others who were there with the Centurion also realized Jesus was who He said he was.
And all the people that came together to that sight, beholding the things which were done,
smote their breasts, and returned. Luke 23:48

This Centurion had likely seen or even directed many crucifixions.
He had never seen such a display of natural events that couldn’t be explained in human terms.
Jesus calls who He calls and it was a great blessing for that man to see the power of God.
That Centurion believed. As hard as his heart was to direct crucifixions,
he believed when God opened his eyes.

We might wonder why God opens the eyes of some and not others.
It will help to remember God sees all hearts and He knows all intentions.
Jesus desires that all men come to the truth. Some reject it. We might not see the rejection or understand it, but God sees it and He is not fooled by good deeds or impressiveness.

Not every one that saith unto Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven;
but he that doeth the will of My Father which is in heaven. Matthew 7:21

When Jesus walked on this Earth, there were many who followed Him. There were some who wanted to see what all the interest was about, the healings, the miracles, the signs and wonders they heard of.
Some wanted the excitement. Some wanted Jesus.

Some wanted to honor the God of All Creation.
Some wanted to see the commotion.
God weighs hearts.
Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the Lord pondereth the hearts. Proverbs 21:2
God measures the heart, ponders its contents.
Those whose hearts are not toward Him will never see. He sees and decides but it is not His choice.
The choice of salvation remains theirs. If they respond to His Holy Spirit that moves over all the Earth,
nothing can stop them from coming to Him.
If they respond negatively to His Holy Spirit,
they will not receive the gift of sight to see who Jesus really is.

And He said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God. Luke 16:15
He also said:
And He said unto them, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
And when He was alone, they that were about Him with the twelve asked of Him the parable. 
And He said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God:
but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: 
That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand;
lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them. Mark 4:9-12

This explains why all are welcome but not all will come. All are invited but some will refuse.
Whether now or later, all will know: Truly this was the Son of God.

It can be painstaking at times when you do what you think is best
and then you realize you have been doing what you thought was best instead of what God is asking of you. We do pray in The Lord’s Prayer: Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done in Earth as it is in Heaven.
Try as we may, things don’t always go as we plan.

There are major decisions that we have to make. We have to be good stewards of our time and finances
and share the gospel and be kind and do as much good as we are able.
We must try our best to do what Jesus wants us to do.
Even when we do all that, we can be disappointed or shaken when things don’t go as we plan.

It’s called yielding. Yielding to the Holy Spirit. It’s called relinquishing our will.

Sometimes we are given pause.
We are even stopped in our tracks and forced to go to our knees to find His will in any given situation.
We might not even understand how or why things didn’t work out as we expected when we were doing all we know how to do and trying to listen to the Lord and hear His direction.

When things don’t go as we plan, we are to do just that. Put all aside and find the Lord in the mix.
He will show us.

I’m changing jobs. The current job has good pay and great benefits in all aspects.
The new one is not quite as good with pay and benefits.
I had to relinquish my plans. I thought I would be there for many years.
However, that is not the case. It is not.
Things are not working out as I planned.
I gave up all my ambitions and yielded.
God was patient. He made things clear to me, but it wasn’t immediate.

Some time ago, I asked Jesus if He would please let me practice obedience,
even with small things so that I could get finely tuned, in sync with His Holy Spirit.
He has been doing that. It’s not always easy to know for sure God’s direction.
He has a way of making things clear and that is what I need sometimes.

The message I’d like to convey is that Jesus sometimes will interfere with our plans.

A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps. Proverbs 16:9

I do not want to be out of God’s will, even for a second.

Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year,
and buy and sell, and get gain: Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. 
For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that. James 4:13-15

If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.

Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name: 
That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 
And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Philippians 2: 9-11

Honor Jesus and honor His name as well.
While you’re praying, while you’re worshipping, while you are telling of the wonderous works He has done.

The bible says if someone does not confess Jesus as Lord, they are an Antichrist. A harsh reality.

Ye call Me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am. John 13:13

Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist,
that denieth the Father and the Son. 1 John 2:22

Pray in the name of Jesus and exalt His name above all circumstances. The enemy will be defeated.

And when He had removed him, He raised up unto them David to be their king;
to whom also He gave testimony, and said,
I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after Mine own heart, which shall fulfil all My will. 
Of this man’s seed hath God according to His promise raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus: Acts 13:22-23

God’s mercy is hard to fathom. It might even be harder to understand and relate to than forgiveness. While mercy can be a part of forgiveness, it is much more compassionate than forgiveness. Mercy covers.
Mercy goes above and beyond. Mercy is the fulfillment of God’s love.

For He saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy,
and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. Romans 9:15

Jesus does have compassion on His Children. He loves us and He corrects us.
He encourages us to be like Him. We cannot do that on our own and God knows that, too.
He is faithful and while we should not excuse our sin, we should accept God’s forgiveness and mercy. And, then in turn, extend it to others.

Blessed are the merciful for they shall obtain mercy. Matthew 5:7
