But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren,
concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not,
even as others which have no hope.
For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again,
even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord,
that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord
shall not prevent them which are asleep.
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout,
with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God:
and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together
with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air:
and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Wherefore comfort one another with these words. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
Times are tough
Evil is personified in those who have chosen not to follow the Lord,
who want their own way, some even have chosen to serve Satan,
willingly or unwillingly
The spirits that are prevalent in the world at this time
are vexing those whose hearts are dedicated to the Lord and His holiness
It seems hard to walk in unison with the goodness of the Lord,
not to get sidetracked when there is so much bad that is blaring in our faces
We shall see Jesus return, whether we are dead or alive when He comes back
At that point shall all the tribes of the Earth mourn,
those who have rejected our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ
Behold, He cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see Him,
and they also which pierced Him:
and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him. Even so, Amen.
Revelation 1:7
He has promised this, that we shall all be changed in the twinkling of an eye
Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep,
but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye,
at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound,
and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
1 Corinthians 15:51-52
God has told us in advance that we know we have this hope
We’re all going to die at some point,
but some of us will be changed at His coming
I understand this to mean
we are then passed from death unto everlasting life
This is a great comfort
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable,
always abounding in the work of the Lord,
forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
1 Corinthians 15:58
