Comforting Words

Comforting Words

Sometimes we need the Holy Spirit to comfort us
The world ravages with wickedness
It is tiring
While this is not our eternal dwelling, nor our real home,
this is where we are placed for our amount of time, whatever that is

The Holy Spirit is our comforter
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost,
whom the Father will send in My name,
He shall teach you all things,
and bring all things to your remembrance,
whatsoever I have said unto you.
John 14:26
Jesus promised to send Him to us and He not only comforts us,
He dwells within us

As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you;
and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem
. Isaiah 66:13

We know there is a beautiful place that we will one day go to,
where we will live forever
In my Father’s house are many mansions:
if it were not so, I would have told you.
I go to prepare a place for you.
And if I go and prepare a place for you,
I will come again, and receive you unto Myself; that where I am,
there ye may be also
. John 14:2-3
God is not a man that He can lie

I go to prepare a place for you, if it were not so, I would not have told you
An Eternal dwelling
We know we will be rescued one day to meet Jesus in the air at His Return
And Paul said to comfort one another with these words

Jesus does not want us to borrow trouble,
sufficient for the day is the evil thereof
Each day brings its triumphs and trials
Such is life
They are to be expected and as we learn,
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. 1 Peter 5:7
He has the resolution to any problem, the fix
Jesus created the world and all its contents,
surely, our burdens He can bear
and with our humility of not trying to do things on our own,
He is certain to give us the answers,
to work things for good and to accept the gifts from us,
the gifts of our troubles
that we so reluctantly want to give Him sometimes
We might feel like we have failed if we have to ask God for help
That is not the case, He said:
Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me;
for I am meek and lowly in heart:
and ye shall find rest unto your souls. Matthew 11:29

As we walk with Him, closer and closer each day,
it gets easier to give Him our burdens
and let Him help us carry our crosses when they might get too heavy
Jesus knows what it’s like to walk on the earth
He gets it
He made Himself lower and lived on Earth as a human
Partly so we could know that He really does understand
and He really does have compassion on us
We would do well to let Him comfort us
as He is able and His Holy Spirit is the best comforter ever
