As always, commentary is human. It is insight into the Word of God from a human perspective, hopefully, one who is hearing from the Holy Spirit.
It is not the be all end all, it is not the only way to see God’s word.
God’s Word is infinite. We are ever-learning from it as we grow in our spirit man and put aside the flesh.
The Word of God is rich and bountiful and the way God teaches us of Himself. There are no restrictions and may He teach you what He wants you to know as you read His Word.
These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit. v 19
Separate themselves from God? From following His ways?
But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith,
praying in the Holy Ghost, v 20
Never lessen the importance of praying in the spirit,
praying with the tongues of men and of angels.
Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. v 21
This how we look to Jesus, for His mercy. With the fear of God,
not with entitlement.
And of some have compassion, making a difference: v 22
Some whose hearts may be seeking the Lord,
who respond to some of the things God gives you to share,
when you hear an interest in them toward the Lord,
lead them to Jesus if they will come.
And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire;
hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. v 23
It is extremely important when we are talking to people about the Lord,
when we are sharing the gospel, to be in tune with the Lord,
to be in tune with the Holy Spirit who leads and guides us into all truth,
even those in darkness. He is able to reach them as well.
Do what the Lord gives you to do, pray for them,
listen to the words He gives you and do not hold back,
realizing that they are not clean until the Lord cleanses them,
which is the same for all of us.
No self-righteousness will be honored at Heaven’s Gates. Jesus is the Gate.
I am the door: by Me if any man enter in, he shall be saved,
and shall go in and out, and find pasture. John 10:9
Now unto Him that is able to keep you from falling,
and to present you faultless
before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, v 24
None of this we can do on our own. It is in our submission to His ways that we are able to stand before Him, clean and pure.
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light,
we have fellowship one with another,
and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin. 1 John 1:7
To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen. v 25
For of Him, and through Him, and to Him,
are all things: to Whom be glory for ever. Amen. Romans 11:36
