Ye adulterers and adulteresses,
know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God?
whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
James 4:4
It can be so difficult to be in this world to follow Jesus
Our flesh desires to be liked by others, to be praised, to be loved
and sometimes that means a compromise
Not rattling the situation
Letting things slide
Paul did say: as much as possible, live at peace with all men
If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
Romans 12:18
He never said to compromise your faith
Finding and respecting that line and not crossing it
Carrying our cross is a daily effort
Each situation we encounter, we ought to seek to glorify the Lord
If our motive is to lift Him up, the answer becomes clearer,
and our motives remain faithful to Him
Honoring Him, His word, loving and walking in the fruit of the spirit
as much as we can, in His commandments,
that we have learned and chosen to follow
His strength is made perfect in our weakness
If we are boasting in our strength and our ability to follow Jesus without giving Him glory, we are missing it
If we fail, we are able to seek His forgiveness
and move on after we accept His atonement for the failed situation
Humility, always remembering that without Him we are nothing
Trusting, obeying, serving and not seeking our own desires,
but that we are vessels of the Holy Spirit,
who dwells in us and helps us in guiding us through our days, and lives
Apparently, Jesus does blot out some people from His Book of Life
He is the only One who can give you strength to endure, to make it,
to get to the other side:
He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment;
and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life,
but I will confess his name before My Father, and before His angels. Revelation 3:5
