And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge,
God gave them over to a reprobate mind,
to do those things which are not convenient; Romans 1:28
Disinformation and misinformation are words reverberating the world now. Depending, the information really could be truth, but just called misinformation or disinformation or propaganda. How do you know which is the truth? How do you know for sure what is going on and whom to believe?
The times are getting harder and if the spirit of the Antichrist was already in the world when Paul was here, the spirit of the Antichrist is surely here now as we get closer to the end.
And be not conformed to this world:
but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind,
that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Romans 12:2
We know how we renew our mind, that is by taking the mind of Christ and bowing before His word even when we don’t agree with it. Somehow, coming to the point of humility, where we can accept that His word is above our thoughts. His word should trump all of our thoughts and arguments against His. Whatever we don’t understand or don’t like. If we make up our own meanings, we are open for deception.
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing
that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God,
and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
2 Corinthians 10:5
This is not easy sometimes. You might choose to wrestle with God on some issues, respectfully. There is nothing wrong with being honest with God. He knows what you think already. Just because we don’t like it or don’t understand it does not mean we should reject it. Ask the Lord to see things the way He does. This might not happen instantaneously, but He will help you to understand His ways and His reasonings. Put it aside for the time-being and trust that He will make His way clear to you at some point. Don’t think because you don’t understand all the mysteries of God that He is wrong or His word is wrong. Sacrifice your lofty thoughts unto Him.
Keeping things on the table with God, not hiding them, not excusing them, but laying things honestly before Him and being patient for the answer. Having a humble heart, even when you don’t agree, even when you can’t possibly understand His perspective or His points of view.
Choosing to love the truth is where it’s at. Otherwise, God Himself will send a strong delusion to us. Who wants that? Fear God. Remain humble.
And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish;
because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion,
that they should believe a lie:
That they all might be damned who believed not the truth,
but had pleasure in unrighteousness. 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12
It really is our choice. If we choose to believe the lies or do not love the truth, we risk being deceived. The deception is getting stronger and stronger and few can withstand it. Most people are falling for the traps that are set. Those who are deceived might not know they are deceived. In Proverbs 8, speaking of God’s wisdom, I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me. v17
Some will reject God’s wisdom. Satan really has not changed his tactics from the very beginning: Hast God said? no, but your eyes will be opened and you will be like gods. For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. Genesis 3:5
And they shall turn away their ears from the truth,
and shall be turned unto fables. 2 Timothy 4:4
O Lord Jesus, let us love the truth and not turn our ears from it, no matter how hard it is to swallow. Let us seek your wisdom and your understanding even when it is difficult and love the truth as You are the Truth.
