It’s very important to consider God and His feelings.
How things might be affecting Him.
How can we know, well, one thing at a time:
Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord God:
and not that he should return from his ways, and live? Ezekiel 18:23
So, that means, when someone unsaved dies,
someone who may have rejected Him, it is kind of us to remember
and consider that God is not happy when the wicked die.
God did not just make us for nothing. He made us for His pleasure.
He adores us. He loves us,
and wants to have a close relationship with each of us.
When we read His word, we will find parts of His personality
He wants to share with us.
While the New Testament is important, we must not neglect the Old.
Everything in the bible is there for us.
If we choose to draw near to God, He will draw near to us.
It’s very nice when the Holy Spirit opens something up to us
so we can have a greater understanding of His character.
Searching for hidden treasure.
And learning about the Kingdom of Heaven and all of its majestic beauty.
We will be learning more about God when we pass from this life to the next,
and growing more in our relationship with Him.
Our learning about Him starts now
and caring about Him and His feelings should start now, too.
His mercy is far richer than we will be able to comprehend
and His grace will take all eternity to fully understand.
Scriptural References:
Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
James 4:8
Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field;
the which when a man hath found, he hideth,
and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.
