Do Your Part
Your relationship with God is a relationship
It is not meant to be one-sided
Jesus does His part and you do yours
Just like with any relationship
Doing rituals are nice
Going to church and all the things you know to do
But focus on your relationship with God,
what it really means to seek His face
When thou saidst, Seek ye My face; my heart said unto thee,
Thy face, Lord, will I seek. Psalm 27:8
Letting His word dwell in your heart
Spending ample time in His word is one way to build that relationship
Truly trying to understand His ways and not just
going through the motions of what your ideas tell you God is looking for
Searching for His understanding and wisdom is going to please Him
Have you sought to know Him?
In a real way, in a genuine way?
Does He know you?
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you:
depart from Me, ye that work iniquity. Matthew 7:23
Find out from Him what He would like from you
If we draw near to Him, He will draw near to us
Spending time with Him, quietly, singing, praying,
realizing that He is God are some ways to honor your relationship with Him
Jesus is a Living God, He listens to you, listen to Him
He is there for you, don’t take Him for granted
When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying,
Lord, Lord, open unto us; and He shall answer and say unto you,
I know you not whence ye are: Luke 13:25
