What you are worried about doesn’t matter
It will not matter
If someone were to ask you what you were worried about last week,
most of those things are long forgotten
I suppose it depends how much you worry
An old friend thought about it this way,
“I try to imagine if I will care about it when I’m 80,
if the answer is no, I try to forget about it.”
Sometimes it is difficult to push those things aside, those things that vex us
Hard to lay them at the altar of Him who does all things well
He works things out when we trust in Him
He somehow smooths the wrinkles, takes care of things,
works things out for our good
Jesus never stops working
He never sleeps
His eyes are ever roaming the earth
so He can strongly support those whose hearts are perfect toward Him
Perfect toward Him, what does that even mean?
How do we get there?
To attain a perfect heart toward Him?
Learn of Him
Listen to Him
Follow Him
Obey Him
Let Him have His way in your life
It all starts with the heart
Seeking His face
Repenting of things that offend Him
Respecting, Revering Him, Fearing Him
When Jesus knocks, when He calls out, when He reminds you of Himself
Heed His voice
Worrying is not so easy to avoid
Trusting in Him gets easier as you know He answers your prayers,
as you saturate yourself in His word,
learning and studying how He has answered prayers
since humans have been on the face of the Earth
The world will all burn away
Wood, hay and stubble
All the thoughts, the efforts, the things people cling to will not last
Jesus is the Rock
Giving Him our worries, our troubles, our concerns
and trusting Him is what He wants
Practice makes perfect
Try and try and try again
Let those things go into His hands
Jesus is there for you, He is there for all of us. if we ask, if we seek Him,
and if our heart is perfect toward Him
If you are unsure of your position or your efforts toward Him,
there is no one better to ask than Jesus Himself
He will make your heart toward Him clearly known to you
and will give you the way to correct it,
to be more dedicated to Him, if need be
Jesus is a Living God
He hears and He answers
