Jesus taught about Eschatology
The disciples asked about Eschatology while they walked on Earth
That seems to have been a long time ago
It is almost like The End Times were put in the heart of man
And as He sat upon the mount of Olives,
the disciples came unto Him privately, saying,
Tell us, when shall these things be?
and what shall be the sign of Thy coming, and of the end of the world?
Matthew 24:3 KJV
God has been talking about it for a long time
David mentioned it in the Psalms
God spoke of The End Times in Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel and Daniel
and in the minor prophets’ books
Should we know about Eschatology?
Is it important?
Jesus warned us
He also told us to watch for the signs,
Since Jesus addressed it, it seems that makes it important
Surely the Lord God will do nothing,
but He revealeth His secret unto His servants the prophets. Amos 3:7 KJV
We are told in the word and we have modern day prophets
who are shedding light on what is to come
We can also see the signs, the birth pangs, the fig tree ripening
For us to know about the Mark of the Beast is one part of prophecy
that is very important so that we know what the bible says and we refuse it
There are also warnings surrounding those scriptures in
The Book of Revelation, chapter 13 that describe what will happen
when the Antichrist is revealed
We will have to face a choice to serve the Antichrist
to retain the ability to buy or sell or to choose Christ, which may mean death
And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond,
to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
And that no man might buy or sell,
save he that had the mark,
or the name of the beast,
or the number of his name.
Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding
count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man;
and his number is Six hundred threescore and six. Revelation 13:16-18
The question: Is eschatology important?
Yes, unequivocally yes!
Learn and know so you are not caught unawares
Strengthen your relationship with Christ
and learn to draw on His strength
and to rely on His protection
and also learn how God wants us to respond to persecution or even death
if that is what God allows
The answers, like everything, are in His word
Let’s end this post with these words:
For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout,
with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God:
and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Then we which are alive and remain
shall be caught up together with them in the clouds,
to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Wherefore comfort one another with these words. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 KJV
