Dream of Jesus’ Return

I had this dream many years ago
It is still as vivid as when I awoke from the dream.
Here is the dream:
Jesus was returning. I had on my proper wedding attire and was ready. I was at my friend’s house when we heard the call of the Bridegroom, Jesus, and was helping her prepare because she wasn’t quite ready. We knew she had to find her wedding dress.

The wedding dress seemed to be for the whole family. My friend was the matriarch. There were two granddaughters who were helping us look for the wedding dress. She knew it was in the attic but wasn’t sure where exactly. The attic had many doors and rooms with many things in each room. We were all furiously looking for the wedding dress, opening doors and searching through the rooms. It was hard to search through all the things but we couldn’t find the wedding dress in all the rooms we searched.

There was one door that had a glass window in it. The window was dirty and foggy, as though it hadn’t been cleaned or thought about for many years. That door was locked, we had to find the key. My friend then had to search through and try many keys on the lock of the door. Finally, she found the right key. So relieved, we saw the wedding dress! It was on a sewer’s mannequin and looked tattered and dingy. When she went to take it off the mannequin, the wedding dress disintegrated as she touched it. Every place she touched it, it became as dust as she touched it until there was no recognizable dress left. I had to leave her there and her grandchildren were not able to go with me either.

This friend has since died. Her family is not properly prepared for Jesus’ return.

The Parable of the 10 virgins in Matthew 25 fits well with this dream:

Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.

And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.

They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:

But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.

And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.

Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.

And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.

But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.

And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.

But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.

Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
