Eternity has Begun

For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity,
whose name is Holy;
I dwell in the high and holy place,
with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit,
to revive the spirit of the humble,
and to revive the heart of the contrite ones
. Isaiah 57:15

If we have been born again,
our new life has begun
We live in a new realm
Old things have passed away
Behold all things have become new
We are new creatures in Christ
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature:
old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new
.
2 Corinthians 5:17
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
which according to his abundant mercy
hath begotten us again unto a lively hope
by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead
, 1 Peter 1:3

Those faint memories you have
of important milestones in your life as a child,
remind you how quickly time has passed
Or think of children you know since they were born
and how quickly they grow and the years pass
Job said our life is but a breath

Think of all the mighty kings and battles fought and won,
the prophets who toiled with the heart of God
to bring people back to Him
And the wonderful, marvelous works of God
and all the evil persons who resisted God?
Those who trusted in anything other than God
have long been forgotten
or are remembered with disdain
Only good remains solid and worthy
Only what God has destined
The rest is wood, hay and stubble

Even the thief on the cross is remembered with honor
because the glory of God touched him
That thief is a representation of God’s graciousness
to all who call upon Jesus

The officer whose ear was healed,
we don’t remember him with honor,
but rather question how could your ear have been cut off
and healed by Jesus and still, you didn’t believe?
He had the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords
standing right before him and was even healed by Him
in one of the greatest miracles Jesus did,
but it meant nothing to him
He did not value Eternity or the fact that the Kingdom of God was in his midst
Shame will rest on those who have refused Jesus the Christ, Jesus the Messiah
Only what has been done for Christ will be of value

Eternity is the here and now
it has begun
we are in it
If we realize that, if we remember that fact,
we may be more likely to focus on the important matters,
those things we do that will matter in the kingdom of God
the things we do for Christ that will last

Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine,
and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man,
which built his house upon a rock
: Matthew 7:24

Eternity is forever

Scriptural References:

For we are labourers together with God:
ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building.
According to the grace of God which is given unto me,
as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation,
and another buildeth thereon.
But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
Now if any man build upon this foundation
gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it,
because it shall be revealed by fire;
and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.
If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon,
he shall receive a reward. 1 Corinthians 3:9-14

And while he yet spake, behold a multitude,
and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve,
went before them, and drew near unto Jesus to kiss him.
But Jesus said unto him, Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss?
When they which were about him saw what would follow,
they said unto him, Lord, shall we smite with the sword?
And one of them smote the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear.
And Jesus answered and said, Suffer ye thus far.
And he touched his ear, and healed him. Luke 22:47-51

And fear not them which kill the body,
but are not able to kill the soul:
but rather fear him which is able to destroy
both soul and body in hell.
Matthew 10:28

Oh, remember that my life is a breath!
My eye will never again see good.
Job 7:7
