Some people make Jesus what they want Him to be.
They pick and choose the commands He gave or the warnings.
They create a new Jesus or a different Jesus that matches their idea of how God should think and act.
For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached,
or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel,
which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him. 2 Corinthians 11:4
Ye might well bear with him, in other words, you accept this deception,
you tolerate it or even welcome this other Jesus.
So many Christians do not study the Old Testament. That is a travesty.
Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. Hebrews 13:8
We cannot fully understand the character of Christ Jesus without knowing God’s heart,
which is found in the Old Testament both in the characters, stories and of God’s acts demonstrated.
Once this thought pattern is established in a human’s mind, they can create their own Jesus,
perhaps with some similarities that are found in scripture,
but the truth is not found in these Fairy Tale Jesuses.
A good example is that Jesus is just one of many gods through which we can reach the true God.
There is one popular TV series that has another Jesus.
They make him to be cool, they change the scriptures in the bible to fit this creation of Jesus
they have written into their script.
This is very concerning because if people are following this Jesus
and not the true Jesus whose tenets are in The Holy Bible and are not fleeting or weak,
but strong in the truth as Jesus is the truth, people can become easily deceived.
People create Jesus to be what they want Him to be instead of accepting who He really is.
if people don’t like something Jesus says, they soften it or make it different
because they think that thought is old fashioned or they change what He meant or what He said.
It might be what Jesus said about Hell or who will go there.
Loving the truth and fearing God is where it’s at.
We cannot change anything He has said or put other words in His mouth
or decide He really meant this when He said something.
How often do you hear people say, I cannot change Jesus’ words?
He said what He said. I have never seen God ever apologize or take any of His words back.
God’s words were spoken and they will stand forever.
What do we do with those unpleasant words He spoke?
Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of Me and of My words
in this adulterous and sinful generation;
of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed,
when He cometh in the glory of His Father with the holy angels. Mark 8:38
Jesus’ words are Jesus.
In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God. John 1:1
He did not hold back on anything He said or meant.
He said what He said and He meant what He said.
For us to try to change His words will not be acceptable on the day of Judgment.
Make sure you are following the true Jesus, the Jesus who is the Son of God, the Messiah,
the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End, the One who died for all mankind on a cross
and who was given authority over all of Heaven and Earth.
The same Jesus who is clearly written about in the whole bible.
All other Jesuses will lead you nowhere good.
You cannot mix and match and make Jesus to be the Jesus you want Him to be.
Accept Him as He is. Honor His word and love the Truth that He is, as He is the Truth.
Seek to understand Him and to become one with Him and His word.
He is not a Fairy Tale Jesus. He is the King of all kings and Lord of all lords.
