So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17
When you hear?
Yes and no
It means when you truly hear what God is saying
The word of God is full of miracles and works that God has done
He does not reveal them to all
Jesus often spoke in parables to hide the meaning from those who were there but who could not hear (Matthew 13:13)
If you can hear, you are blessed
God has seen your heart, your interest in Him
He has shown you a little
If you seek Him, He will show you more
He does not open everyone’s ears or eyes
That is up to Him and His choice
Only those whom the Son of God reveals Himself to can hear Him
“All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.” Matthew 11:27
He that hath an ear, let him hear
‘These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me.” Matthew 15:8
Maybe that is where the term “Lip Service” came from
The preaching of the cross is foolishness to those who do not believe,
but to us who do, it is the power of God (1 Corinthians 1:18)
Blessed are they who have not seen and yet believe (John 20:29)
Don’t dismiss a realization when you get one
It is God Himself teaching you, revealing Himself to you
To know it as treasure,
as a part of Himself that He is showing you
Lay not up for yourselves earthly treasures,
instead, search for Him (Matthew 6:19-21)
Where is He in each and every moment?
Each and every situation?
Where is he in every thought, every relationship?
He will show you (James 4:8)
He is constantly sharing with us if we are listening
Do not set Him aside or ignore His leading
You will be fulfilled and God will be pleased
He wants to show you more
He wants to give you more and more (Matthew 7:11)
Take it seriously and earnestly listen and be aware as you seek Him
He will bring you further along (Joshua 3:9)
Your faith will be strengthened and you will get better and better at hearing
