And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted,
and become as little children,
ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 18:3
Having faith of a little child isn’t just for getting born again
Jesus wants us to trust Him like we are little children
It’s an on-going process, we remain God’s children, He is our Father
Paul referred to us as little children
That is an affectionate and meaningful term, to be accepted in humility
God promised Abraham his seed would be multiplied beyond measure
We are Abraham’s seed, the little children Paul talked about:
My little children, of whom I travail in birth again
until Christ be formed in you, Galatians 4:19
Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house:
and His disciples came unto him, saying,
Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.
He answered and said unto them,
He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;
The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom;
but the tares are the children of the wicked one; Matthew 13:36-38
Jesus used little children as examples of us to follow
The realize their ability to be innocent,
to not be set in our ways and a host of other ways
to think of why Jesus compared us to little children
The children spoken of are often children in a spiritual sense
When we teach others about the Lord, in discipleship
and in prayer when we carry others to the throne of God
to present them to God in prayer
is an act of covering them in a spiritual sense,
its meaning is very rich and multi-faceted
His Holy Spirit may teach you or have taught you more on the matter
The Lord is always interesting, always teaching us
and always demonstrating His love to us
Let us receive as humbly as a child might receive all from Him
as we are slowly transitioning into His Kingdom
