Be ye hot or cold
Don’t lose your first love Revelation 2:4
If you love the world, the love of the father is not in you 1 John 2:15
Hate or love Jesus’ words Luke 9:26
Check yourself, how do you feel when Jesus says something you don’t like?
How do you deal with that?
Do you humble yourself before God or do you judge Jesus for His words?
Carry your cross Matthew 16:24
Seal up the breeches in your armor Ephesians 6
Love the truth 2 Thessalonians 2:10
Commune with Jesus, stay in His word and feed the fire within your heart
Jesus gave us many ways to follow Him
What He has made clear over and over is to do so whole-heartedly
Don’t get distracted, don’t hasten your pace
Keep going, keep running that race to receive that prize
Turn your back on those things that sink you
Metaphor: Cut off your hand or your foot, which means leave sin behind
It is better to give up those things that separate you from God
than to cling to them and end up in Hell
Do not let anything come in between you and Jesus
Additional Scriptures:
I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot:
I would thou wert cold or hot.
So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot,
I will spue thee out of My mouth.
Revelation 3:15-16
Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee,
cut them off, and cast them from thee:
it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed,
rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire.
Matthew 18:8
As the living Father hath sent Me, and I live by the Father:
so he that eateth Me, even he shall live by Me.
This is that bread which came down from heaven:
not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead:
he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.
John 6:57-58
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God.
John 1:1
