Feeling Down and Out

So God created man in his own image,
in the image of God created he him;
male and female created he them. Genesis 1:27

We are made in God’s image
Every emotion that we have is a part of God
Loneliness
Anger
Happiness
You name it,
We have emotions because we are made in God’s image

We know the Bible says be angry and sin not
and the joy of the Lord is our strength
Laughing and being sorrowful
Learning how to be in control of our emotions so that we can be a blessing to others and even a blessing to God
both to Him in our relationships with God
and also be able to use our emotions
to help or encourage others that God puts in our path
Love
Peace
Not as the world gives give I to thee
He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty;
and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city
. Proverbs 16:32

Self control is one of the attributes of the fruit of the spirit
Being gentle and kind, those are tempered emotions,
some that we have but that have been polished and developed
If you think of a 2-year-old who has a myriad of emotions displayed,
and then you imagine how long experiencing those emotions
will take to understand, to gain control over those emotions
Some people have been raised in a tumultuous style
and have not been taught how to control themselves well

Once we hone those emotions, we can use them to help others and bring about the purpose God has for us to use them for His glory

Additional Scriptures:

and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry;
for the joy of the Lord is your strength.
Nehemiah 8:10

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
John 14:27

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh
with the affections and lusts.
