Finding Godly Sorrow

We are all made in the image of God
We all have emotions and feelings in our flesh, like God
Some compassion is what most humans experience
There are wonderful worldly organizations that serve many peoples, whose goal is to help people for emergency disasters and many other difficulties people encounter, we all know of them
Those are noble and good, but without God, they are wood, hay and stubble

Some have let those feelings be snuffed out, become cold, become dead
Pushing aside the Holy Spirit who calls us to have compassion
Pushing aside God can have grave circumstances
It takes effort and listening and studying the bible and praying
to learn how to have Godly Sorrow, which is the kind that God feels,
The true care and love for others without fleshly desires for self
or appreciation or honor from other human beings

People do not realize what life on earth would be like without God
Earth would be absent of love and truth and light
and all good qualities that everyone here is able enjoy,
even if they don’t serve God
His light, His riches, His grace, His kindness, His mercy, His love
are available for humans even if they don’t know Him
God is always calling people, reaching out to them,
allowing them to have joy and plenteous goodness
He sends the rain on the just and the unjust
It’s just part of being in this world, the goodness that God has given us all

Seek ye the Lord while He may be found
There is a time coming when Jesus will not be easy to find

I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear:
but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.
Isaiah 66::4

The door is closing to Salvation
Now is the day of Salvation
People push God aside because they want to wait for whatever reason,
maybe for some so they can continue to run their own lives, continue to sin
There is coming upon the world a famine for the word of God
It will be much more difficult to reach out to God as the door is shutting
There is not much time yet to get in

Not every one that saith unto Me,
Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven;
but he that doeth the will of My Father which is in heaven.
Matthew 7:21

The Godly sorrow will be more evident
as people will not have as much access to God’s attributes
The darkness fell on Egypt and it was so thick, it could be felt
We will also experience such a darkness as the day draws near

It is vital that we press into God and learn
as much of Him and His character that we can
so we are not fooled by our own good works,
our worldly sorrow that helps others and cares,
but somehow for our own gain

How do we learn more about God’s heart?
His heart is written in His word, The Holy Bible, from the beginning to the end
When He speaks to His prophets, you will hear His heart
When He makes decisions, you will hear His heart and understand His sorrow
When He spares people who are calling on Him,
you will get to know His sorrow
It is quite different from worldly sorrow that has a gain
Not understanding Godly sorrow is
the lack of knowledge of Him and His goodness
toward each of us as we walk through life
It is what we are missing if we don’t figure out Godly sorrow
and the true repentance that Godly sorrow brings

He longs for each of us to come to Him with everything that we have to give
Once we understand Godly sorrow,
we can become more vested in bringing others to that place,
so they too can understand the difference and walk more closely with Jesus

Scriptural References:

Now if any man build upon this foundation
gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
Every man’s work shall be made manifest:
for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire;
and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.
1 Corinthians 3:12-13

That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven:
for He maketh His sun to rise on the evil and on the good,
and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God,
that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread,
nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord

And the Lord said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand toward heaven,
that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt,
even darkness which may be felt.
