Following Jesus, Carrying the Cross

Uphill
Some rocky terrain
Rarely smooth
Keep trudging along
Painful at times
Restful at times
Happy and joyous deep inside for knowing Jesus
and for getting to know Him better
Climbing
Never looking back
Onward
Increasing faith
The word is alive
Doing its work
Learning more
Unsearchable grace
Mercy without end
Realizing gems and treasures from the Holy Spirit
What would a hug from Jesus be like?
Remember what Jesus told Thomas?
Blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed
Letting Jesus do His work
Our work is obedience and carrying the cross
Loving those that are hard to love, forgiving
So we can show Jesus we really love Him
You cannot carry your cross far with baggage
Drop it off
Refuse it, leave it behind
Let Him remove it and carry on
To the finish line where we meet Him face to face

Scriptural References:

John 20:29

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part;
but then shall I know even as also I am known.
1 Corinthians 13:12

If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar:
for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen,
how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
1 John 4:20

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness,
which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day:
and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
2 Timothy 4:7-8
