If you want to be around Jesus,
you must forgive
He will not dwell with unforgiveness and hatred
There are no excuses:
And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any:
that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven
forgive your trespasses. Mark 11:25-26
The once saved, always saved crowd does not comprehend
that unforgiveness can keep you out of heaven
It can
And it might for those who refuse to forgive
There are many who are so sure of themselves and their salvation,
so sure that they think they can ignore Jesus’ commands,
even His very words
Jesus could not be more clear:
Forgive or you will not be forgiven
Let it go
Vengeance is Mine, I will repay
Vengeance belongs to the Lord
If we hold onto things intentionally,
we are essentially sitting on God’s very throne judging others,
pushing God out of the way because we think we know better
God would have us let go and let Him take care of it
With the strength of the Holy Spirit and humility,
we can overcome
Forgive them for they know not what they do
Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them;
for they know not what they do.
And they parted his raiment, and cast lots. Luke 23;34
Do not be like the guy who was forgiven but refused to forgive
Look at his fate Matthew 18:21-35
Jesus spoke in parables
This one is very clear
Jesus was not joking
This is very real
Forgive that you may be forgiven
