I was thinking and praying about an old friend, a Christian,
who is caught up in man’s doctrine
Because of that, he has things all figured out
He doesn’t need God
He has his doctrine
His doctrine, which is a quite famous doctrine,
is a doctrine that many Christians follow
It is a particular doctrine and many are tangled in its web
All the answers to everything are there, in their interpretation of the Bible
No need to ask God
Bible Scholars from years of old and Bible Scholars of the modern day
have solidified the answers in this doctrine
All of the questions to life and death are already figured out in this doctrine
If God shows you something fresh,
especially if it is different from what they know,
what they have figured out,
they think you are misguided
and that everything has already been figured out by the many Bible Scholars
They might even say, “that’s nice”,
if it is something that does not conflict with their doctrine,
but quickly direct you back to their doctrine
because they believe you should seek their tried and true doctrine
that has been combed over by many Bible Scholars
They believe that any and all of your questions have been answered already,
just look in the doctrine
No need to reinvent the wheel
You must listen and agree with their doctrine, otherwise,
you risk being led astray
“I hope he does listen, God.”
“He has it all figured out. I can’t meet with people like that.”
I then saw my friend standing in set cement up to his calves
He couldn’t move
Holding his Bible, studying hard his doctrine
There were many others in his same state, stuck in solidified cement
They had their bibles and found their doctrine in the Bible
They were not preaching Jesus but preaching doctrine
“I can’t meet with people like that” God said to me
There is no way Jesus wants people stuck in doctrine
It is good to know the Bible
The Bible is living and active
Each scripture is alive, each word is alive,
each word is a portion of God Himself
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God. John 1:1
If we solidify what we have learned and have it all figured out,
how can He teach us anything?
All scripture is given by inspiration of God,
and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof,
for correction, for instruction in righteousness
2 Timothy 3:16
This is what the Pharisees and Sadducees did
They resisted Christ because their doctrine proved what they thought
and their minds and hearts resisted what Jesus said, what Jesus taught
The word of God is always fresh, new, alive:
For the word of God is living and powerful,
and sharper than any two-edged sword,
piercing even to the division of soul and spirit,
and of joints and marrow,
and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Hebrews 4:12
Have you ever read a scripture and understood something from it
and then read it later on and another thing was revealed to you?
That is fresh manna
We need fresh manna every single day,
sometimes several moments of the day,
depending on our needs from the Lord in our lives
Not manna that has bred worms,
that was held over or reused Exodus 16:20
We need fresh manna
The word of life is healing to your bones Proverbs 3:8
If anyone ever tries to take the place of God in your life
or stands between you and God to teach you things,
professing that they or their doctrine
are the bridge between you and God,
get as far away as you can from that person
A teacher and preacher of the Word who is walking in truth,
will always lead you to the living water
so that you can drink from it for yourself
The false teachers will give you the word,
the true teachers will share
what they have learned in a way that helps you to hear from God yourself
and search for the truth in the word for yourself
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come,
he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself;
but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak:
and he will shew you things to come. John 16:13
