In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie,
promised before the world began; Titus 1:2
Just in case you were wondering, God cannot lie.
His world, His rules.
That means, what He says is truth.
Jesus is the truth.
Jesus speaks the truth. Jesus exemplifies the truth.
God is not a man, that He should lie; neither the son of man,
that He should repent: hath He said, and shall He not do it?
or hath He spoken, and shall He not make it good? Numbers 23:19
Satan is the father of lies.
That’s all he does. Nothing he says is truth. He twists the truth.
truth + error = deception
The devil appears as an angel of light.
He somehow deceives and leads astray as many as will follow.
Jesus accused the Pharisees of being like their father the devil.
Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do.
He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth,
because there is no truth in him.
When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar,
and the father of it. John 8:44
Be careful. There are still Pharisees walking among us today.
They do not receive Jesus’ words, but twist them and lie.
They are those to whom the Lord will say,
‘Depart from Me, I never knew you!’ Unless they repent.
And then will I profess unto them,
I never knew you: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity. Matthew 7:23
Those are the ones Jesus does not know.
The ones whom He knows, love the truth and they put His word above all.
Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. John 17:17
Treasuring the truth in our hearts,
letting His word always be greater than our own thoughts and ideas.
Bowing before His word and fearing God will keep us from going astray.
