God hears our thoughts
Loud and clear
It makes sense because He looks on our hearts
For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth,
to shew himself strong in the behalf of them
whose heart is perfect toward him. 2 Chronicles 16:9a
It is unfathomable that He can know
how many hairs are on our heads
But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Matthew 10:30
and know our thoughts and our intentions
He made their hearts, so he understands everything they do. Psalm 33:15
and that He is able to do this all simultaneously
for everyone in the world
It is mind blowing
It goes to show how much more awesome He is that any human
or than any other god
Buddha has been dead for a long time
When he walked on earth, he was just a man
A man that people gave homage to
So are all the false gods pale in comparison
to Jesus Christ, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords
Elijah told the false prophets to call on their gods,
knowing they wouldn’t answer
And they didn’t
But our God answered
Then the fire of the Lord fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice,
and the wood, and the stones, and the dust,
and licked up the water that was in the trench.
And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces: and they said,
The Lord, he is the God; the Lord, he is the God. 2 Kings 18:38-39
Our God has endless wisdom and knowledge
and can do anything He wants
Sometimes I wonder why He doesn’t just strike dead
the wicked people who do this or that
He sees all and knows all
He has His reasons and I resolve to let Him be God
There were times when God recognized the grief of His people
because of the wicked or disobedient people
And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked.
2 Peter 2:7
God understood Moses’ frustration he had with the Israelites
In fact, I’d venture to say,
God let Moses experience what He had experienced to an extent
Moses was intent on understanding God
So as we go about our days,
thinking about this and that,
remember that God is listening
Each action was once a thought
Get in the habit of putting your thoughts under the word of God
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing
that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God,
and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
2 Corinthians 10:5
David said the wicked do not have God in all their thoughts:
The wicked, through the pride of his countenance,
will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts. Psalm 10:4
God should be in all of our thoughts
That realization can help us to make more godly decisions,
seeking His wisdom always in each situation we encounter
Keeping our own motives and intents in check
Our thoughts must be linked to our hearts somehow
because God looks on our hearts and can discern our thoughts:
for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart. 1 Samuel 16:7b
Our very Souvereign Lord, Who loves us and hears all of our thoughts
has also given us many ways to remedy the flesh that comes up,
the flesh that we need to cast down,
that we need to commit to Him
Remembering that He sees all and knows all
Fear the Lord and recognize what He requires from you
It is a personal understanding between you and God
