Jesus is there when you know it and when you don’t
When you feel His presence and when you don’t
And ye shall seek me, and find me,
when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
Jeremiah 29:13
What a beautiful thought
I have a friend whom I often hear from when she needs something
She is very wrapped up in her own life
It is hard for her to make time
Unless it is useful for her
She said, “I’ll come over and we’ll get together to work,
no visiting, just work,”
She says this because her life is so full of other things
I suppose we all do the same to God
When we pray, we get right to work,
our needs or the things that mean something to us
They might even mean something to Him
How nice it is when friends say, “I’d love to see you,”
and that is their motive
That is all they want is to spend time with you,
to see how you’re doing, to catch up with your life
and let you know about theirs
How sweet that is
I knew a family who made Jesus a Birthday cake
for Christmas Day, every year
It was a very special cake, a red cake
It had several steps that had to be taken
so that it would turn out just right
It had the perfect cream cheese frosting and it was delicious
It was a labor of love for them
The family members took turns making it every year
After dinner, they sang Happy Birthday to Jesus
and ate His birthday cake
Let us think of God as someone we want to spend time with
Someone we are glad is there
Glad He’s with us
Not to impress Him or anyone else, but just because
Go on a walk with Him
Consider taking Him with you on your commute
Antique shopping or whatever you like to do
Sitting by the water
Fishing
Hiking
Swimming
Biking
Gardening
Even working…
He’s there anyway, might as well make Him feel welcome
