How deep is God’s mercy?
It is without end.
How far does God’s grace extend?
There are no limits.
Can you demand it?
I highly advise against any assumptions toward God.
Faith is from God. Do not ever lose your humility.
The gift that God gives remains His gift until He gives it.
There are those who are going to receive God’s mercy
when we as humans are sure they don’t deserve it.
For He saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy,
and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. Romans 9:15
That means God reserves the right to be merciful when He chooses.
Remember He sees hearts. God does not see the same way we do.
We have absolutely no way to look on the hearts of men.
That judgment is retained by the Lord.
He may choose to share it,
but be careful with that information if He does share it with you.
That right remains with Him.
Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth,
and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth:
Lest the Lord see it, and it displease Him,
and He turn away His wrath from him. Proverbs 24:17-18
Our job is to love our enemies, to pray for those who persecute us:
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you,
do good to them that hate you,
and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven:
for He maketh His sun to rise on the evil and on the good,
and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. Matthew 5:44-45
Yes, we cannot be proud, even of our salvation.
Our boasting is to be in the Lord and what He has done for us,
not in anything we have acquired or attained.
But He giveth more grace.
Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud,
but giveth grace unto the humble. James 4:6
