God’s People will be repaid by the Lord

So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then was the king’s wrath pacified. Esther 7:10

Haman set up things so that Mordecai would be hanged.
Things turned out differently.
Mordecai trusted in the Lord.
When we trust in the Lord, He watches over us,
He guards us and He repays those who wish or devise evil on us.
Let us remember to keep our hearts clean toward our enemies.
Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth,
and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth:

Lest the Lord see it, and it displease him,
and He turn away his wrath from him
. Proverbs 24:17-18

Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink:
for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Romans 12:20
Be careful, keep your heart clean,
this doesn’t mean you feed your enemy
so he can get coals put on his head.
Vengeance belongs to the Lord.
He will surely repay evil with its just reward.
Bless them that curse you and love your enemies.
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you,
do good to them that hate you,
and pray for them which despitefully use you,
and persecute you
; Matthew 5:44
That is right, love your enemies.
They might even be on their way to Hell.
If we wish anyone would go to Hell,
our heart is probably not in the right place.
Hell is for eternity.
God’s heart is that none should perish
but that all should come to repentance.
Trust the Lord to avenge you of your adversaries.

He is working and may even work through you
to bring your enemy to Christ.
That happened to Paul and that is a beautiful extension of Christ’s love.
When Paul was in prison, The Philippian Jailer was amazed by God,
the love of God was activated through Paul.
He repented and served the Lord and his whole family was saved.
That would please God very much if that were our goal for our enemies,
for them to realize that Christ is the Lord who can wash away sins
and that He does avenge us of our enemies.
