The Bible talks of Gods provision
He takes care of the sparrows and the birds of the air
Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they? Matthew 6:26
and tells us not to worry about tomorrow
for the morrow will care for itself
It’s in our nature to store up, to prepare
To fill our vats with plenty
He gave the Egyptians manna, everyday
And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another, It is manna: for they wist not what it was. And Moses said unto them, This is the bread which the Lord hath given you to eat. Exodus 16:15
He fed Elijah from ravens and other miraculous means
And it shall be, that thou shalt drink of the brook; and I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there. So he went and did according unto the word of the Lord: for he went and dwelt by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan. And the ravens brought him bread and flesh in the morning, and bread and flesh in the evening; and he drank of the brook. 1 Kings 17:4-6Go
God gave Pharaoh dreams and Joseph the interpretation
to warn them of a famine
And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art Genesis 41:39
Joseph filled the storehouses
And the seven years of dearth began to come, according as Joseph had said: and the dearth was in all lands; but in all the land of Egypt there was bread. Genesis 41:54
God replenished the widows oil
and produced large amounts of oil so she could survive
And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed. 2 Kings 4:6
Jesus multiplied a few loaves and fishes to feed 5,000 and everybody ate and were satisfied and they had leftovers
Then he took the five loaves and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed them, and brake, and gave to the disciples to set before the multitude. And they did eat, and were all filled: and there was taken up of fragments that remained to them twelve baskets. Luke 9:16-17
Jesus has His ways of providing
He fed another bunch of over 4,000 with a small amount of bread a few fishes.
And they had a few small fishes: and he blessed, and commanded to set them also before them. So they did eat, and were filled: and they took up of the broken meat that was left seven baskets. And they that had eaten were about four thousand: and he sent them away. Mark 8:7-9
Moses and Jesus survived 40 days without food or water
(Exodus 34:28 & Matthew 4:2)
When God takes care of you,
that doesn’t mean it is going to be the way you think He should
He will, however, provide
Look to Him and be sensitive to what He is teaching you and preparing you for
When Noah was building the ark,
he did that in faith and obedience to God
no matter how silly he may have looked to his fellow inhabitants of the earth
You wondering if God’s still interested in doing miracles?
