When I became a Christian, and I read the Bible,
there were many things I did not like or even approve of
I knew that His word was pure God
“In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word WAS God.” John 1:1
I also knew that I was instructed to love the truth…even if I didn’t like it.
So when I encountered something I did not like, I took the scripture about casting down vain imaginations
and everything that exalts itself against the knowledge of God
and bringing every thought into captivity of Jesus Christ very seriously.
At times, I had to lay things at His altar, knowing He would show me in time.
I did not demand an answer right then and there.
Sometimes it took time for God to reveal the truth to me
and to show me how He saw things.
I considered that He was God and I was not,
so I submitted myself to His word and His ways.
We are to not be ashamed of His words.
Sometimes that is difficult to swallow
It is a struggle when the peer pressure is so strong
to accept things that you know in His word He refuses to bless.
Not only refuses to bless but when the word clearly states
that some actions done by people warrant condemnation to Hell
If we know something is wrong and we have the opportunity to warn people, we better do it, otherwise, as Ezekiel was warned,
their blood will be on your head
So, take it seriously to follow righteousness,
to learn His ways and be His mouth piece for His word.
When we know and we don’t warn, we are risking a lot.
