Grace, Kindness and Love

What are you going to teach me about Yourself?
About the way You see things?
I am listening
I’m waiting
Looking forward to the knowledge of Your character
Perhaps it’s about how You love
One thing I am not good at is loving the unlovely
If you were here, Your love would be toward the unlovely
You told us that if we do anything for the least of these,
that is the same as doing things unto You
You said that we sometimes entertain angels unawares
You also said go into the highways and compel people to come to You
You loved the lepers, the sick, the lame, the demon possessed
You reached out to all who would dare to truly seek You
We have our prejudgments and disapproval,
if someone might not look just right, smell just right,
maybe has habits that we despise
It could be anything and our sinful nature refuses to let You love through us
If you love those who love you, what reward have you?
Do not even the publicans the same?
The smallest gesture of kindness can mean so much to someone else
it even could be the only love they felt all day or all week or longer
Let us take every chance we can to let Your light shine
so that we may glorify You,
so that others may glorify You
Because with Your strength, we can demonstrate who You are
which might even help them find You
A very beautiful sentiment Lord that is true
Let us be humble and let You love, show grace and kindness through us
