Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently,
lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen,
and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life:
but teach them thy sons, and thy sons’ sons; Deuteronomy 4:9
Watch what you read
Watch what you listen to
Watch what you view
Stay away from anything that defiles
Whether it be wordly or demonic, stay away
and guard your heart
With due diligence, watch what you take it and what you allow in your mind
A good man out of the good treasure of his heart
bringeth forth that which is good;
and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart
bringeth forth that which is evil:
for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh. Luke 6:45
Our minds are open sepulchers if we do not guard what we think upon,
if we do not guard against what we take in and consider
and let become a part of our hearts
Once in our hearts, it is sure to come forth
Guard your heart
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees,
hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres,
which indeed appear beautiful outward,
but are within full of dead men’s bones, and of all uncleanness.
Matthew 23:27
Keeping our hearts before the Lord
and guarding what thoughts we entertain
will determine what is in our hearts
Way deep down, we would do well to let Jesus examine our hearts
Those are the unclean things that will poison us spiritually
Let Him cleanse any deep parts and thoughts that are hiding from the Lord
Let Him cleanse them out of your inner most being
Search me, O God, and know my heart:
try me, and know my thoughts:
And see if there be any wicked way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting. Psalm 139:23-24
We cannot do this on our own
This is how we can walk closer with Jesus without anything in between
How much more shall the blood of Christ,
who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God,
purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
Hebrews 9:14
