It you could see hatred, you would see a greenish/grayish, sticky substance that oozes out of everything it contaminates. Its stench is so putrid that a person not tainted with it cannot bear the vile vapor. The fumes/stickiness reach those around it. Those infected by hatred serve it like it’s their master.
Hatred destroys
It fouls
it harms
It brings forth strife
It is arrogant
Demands its own way
Wants to be served
Requires to be served
Hatred will turn your heart away from God
Hatred defiles
It contaminates whatever it touches
Hatred begins as a seed
A tiny, little thought
Then it grows
And grows
If fed, it becomes very strong
It opens doors to evil
Hatred has friends who feast on its devices
Wicked schemes become part of it
There is no telling how far its destruction can reach
If hatred is bottled up inside,
it will destroy the very vessel it indwells
Somehow it will still find a way to ooze out and harm what it touches
Steer clear of it
God gave us many warnings of hatred’s devices and schemes
We are to hate sin and evil
As far as people, No
Jesus told us to love our enemies
That we who hate our brother are the same as a murderer
That hatred can start with unforgiveness and then on to bitterness
The bitterness can take hold of us
God said do not let the sun go down on your anger
as then you give place to the devil
We must examine our hearts
Teach us to love our enemies, Lord
to forgive others even when they don’t deserve it
No matter what
If you have ought against someone,
let God deal with them
Vengeance is Mine, I will repay says the Lord
Leave it at the altar and go on your way,
trusting Jesus to Judge Righteously
If you hang onto the offense,
not trusting God,
then hatred can take hold
Ask God to reveal to you
any unforgivenss you may have
and help you to submit it to Him
so He can cleanse your heart
