In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne,
high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. Isaiah 6:1
Remember when that woman touched Jesus’ garment
and He said, Who touched me? I know virtue has gone out of Me
The disciples said there have been multitudes touching You
and You ask who touched Me?
Jesus knew it was a faith touch
A touch to the Lord and a plea from a heart
that was a knowing that He could
This woman had believed that if
she could just touch the hem of His garment,
she would be made whole
And as sick as she was, she made it, she did it!
She touched His garment and was made whole that instant
Jesus knew and she knew
When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind,
and touched his garment.
For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.
And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up;
and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.
And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?
And his disciples said unto him,
Thou seest the multitude thronging thee,
and sayest thou, Who touched me?
And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing.
But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her,
came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.
And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole;
go in peace, and be whole of thy plague. Mark 5:27-34
I saw the train of the Lord’s garment in prayer
That is what prompted this writing
It is glorious and beautiful and majestic and flowing
and represents His fullness and His glory
What do we need?
If we have faith, if we can just touch His garment
It seems to represent His holiness and glory
and our ability to recognize His holiness and Who He truly is
That He is able to do anything, that He is Lord of All
Your level of faith cannot be conjured up
it is from God and each of us is different
and each of our backgrounds with the Lord is different
What we have already seen Him do when we pray,
what we have read about in His word,
what we have heard he has done for others
He was also helping that lady
Helping her to believe, helping her to get close enough to Him
to touch His garment and then the second she made it,
He was there to give her the final word,
Your faith hath made thee whole
With us, He works in much the same way
He encourages us, brings people into our lives to bear witness of Him
and Who He is
Gives us glimpses of Him, so we will want more of Him
and less of the world
As we read the word, parts of it become alive and become real to us
His train filling the temple
is a beautiful description of our Lord and His awesome wonder
If we can reach out to Him in faith, knowing that He hears us,
knowing that He cares, He will hear our cry and answer our prayer
