How to Attain the Peace of God

Your peace surpasses understanding, Lord
Until one has tasted of Your peace, it cannot be understood
You said that You did not come to bring peace on earth, but a sword
The peace you bring is our way of peace to the Father through Your sacrifice
the peace of knowing You care for us and are interested in us
You know when a sparrow falls to the ground
You have numbered the very hairs on our heads
Who else cares for us that much or has that much knowledge of our beings
Knowing our every thought or our every word
You are the Prince of Peace
Peace is Your nature, a part of who You are
Your word tells us how to grasp peace
How to let it rule in our minds and hearts
That Your peace is not the same as the world has
That even when there are storms
tremendous difficulties
You are the One who carries us through
That is a form of peace
to get there can be another story
Remember the disciples had lost their peace when you fell asleep
They didn’t get it back until You woke up and You reassured them
Peace must be a part of faith, knowing You’re in charge, that You’re not worried
Knowing that You’re taking care of all things
That you’re loving us, and caring for each
and every detail of our lives if we are trusting in You

Once I was very afraid of flying
the Lord showed me myself, protected by His hands.
That sentiment is for all of us who trust in Him.

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ Romans 5:1

“Master, carest thou not that we perish?” (I’ve felt this way many times.)
And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side. And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships. And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish? And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith? And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him? Mark 4:35-41
