How to seek the Lord is sort of an odd title.
One of us cannot really tell another of us how to seek the Lord.
Our relationships with Jesus are so individual.
I watch a lot of testimonies.
I’m always interested in how God spoke to someone, how He made Himself real.
Each experience someone had is always unique to their life.
I have not yet heard any two experiences that were alike.
That is how it was when Jesus walked on the Earth.
Each person He encountered, He reached out to them uniquely, individually.
He met them at the core of their heart.
He said just the right words for each one of them.
Nobody will ever have the same experience that I had.
Jesus is not a trite God.
If you notice in The Bible, Jesus taught us many things.
His teachings can intricately be related to something,
but He never gave pat answers or had a one-size-fits-all approach.
While we can have similar experiences,
no one ever has exactly the same experience as someone else.
While Jesus gave commandments, He never gave patterned responses.
Jesus reaches out to each one of us how we need in order to realize Who He is.
The Holy Spirit continues that work in us and as we seek Jesus.
Doubting Thomas heard the report from his fellow disciples
that they had seen the Lord Jesus after He had risen.
But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus,
was not with them when Jesus came.
The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord.
But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails,
and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side,
I will not believe.
And after eight days again his disciples were within,
and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut,
and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.
Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands;
and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless,
but believing. And Thomas answered and said unto Him,
My Lord and my God. Jesus saith unto him,
Thomas, because thou hast seen Me, thou hast believed:
blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. John 20:24-29
We cannot blame Thomas.
He did not believe yet.
Jesus did not condemn him.
Jesus let him see what he needed to see to believe.
We never know what we will need to believe,
nor what someone else needs to believe.
Jesus always knows.
Jesus helps us and gives us faith if our hearts are seeking Him.
So, the answer to how to seek the Lord is: Seek the Lord.
Here is His promise to any and all who desire to know Him:
And ye shall seek Me, and find Me,
when ye shall search for Me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:13
