Being humble before the Word of God.
Accepting the Bible at face value.
No compromise on what God has said.
The whole bible is the inherent word of God, inspired by His Holy Spirit.
For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways My ways, saith the Lord.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are My ways higher than your ways,
and My thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:8-9
That’s a given, right?
It actually is not to most people.
People make all sorts of excuses
and try to change God’s Word when they do not like what it says.
We must always put His word above our own thoughts.
Casting down vain imaginations that try to make the word of God submit.
People do it all the time. Both Non-Christians and Christians.
Quite disappointing.
(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal,
but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing
that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God,
and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
2 Corinthians 10:4-5
Where is the battle? Oftentimes in our minds.
If we can realize that God’s word wins, at least in our lives,
we will not battle with God and His word.
We need to be humble before God’s word for Jesus is the Word.
Jesus gave us a very strong warning:
Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of Me and of My words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when He cometh in the glory of His Father with the holy angels. Mark 8:38
If we are ashamed of Him, He will be ashamed of us.
It’s not easy to stand up for righteousness sometimes.
We should always seek the Lord about what to say and how to handle any given situation, as always, the flesh profits nothing, the Spirit gives life.
It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing:
the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. John 6:63
So walking about, speaking in the flesh, not being in tune with the Spirit will not be helpful. Listen and obey. He will give you the wisdom and strength you need to do what He is asking you to do and to say what He is asking you to say. He will open the doors for the gospel and each situation, you will see His hand and His workings. We are not in this alone. The Holy Spirit is right beside us.
Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you: 2 Thessalonians 3:1
Scriptural References:
In the beginning was the Word
and the Word was with God and the Word was God.

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine,
for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
