‘I’m much better than she is’
Anyone who says that ought to be choking on their words
Any person who says that about any other is not in God’s good graces
according to His word and according to how He teaches us in His word
When Jesus heard it, He saith unto them,
They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick:
I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. Mark 2:17
Jesus welcomed sinners into His presence
That was one of the things the Pharisees and Sadducees hated about Jesus
He communed with sinners, that means, those who were not perfect,
those who may not have served God in the sense people were used to
or those who needed forgiveness from Christ who was and is able to forgive sins
We are to be ambassadors of Christ, walking in love, forgiveness, humility
Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. 2 Corinthians 5:20
Since God looks on the heart, it is impossible for us to know what He sees
We mortals continue to look on the outward appearance
We can’t seem to stop
Job’s friends had it all figured out
Rahab was a harlot, yet God used her because He knew her heart
She has a portion with God’s people, forever
Esther was an orphan
Jeremiah 1:6: Then said I, Ah, Lord God! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child.
King David was a small, skinny kid when he was anointed King of Israel
Noah was faithful to God and built a gigantic boat when no water was near
Paul, who was Saul, was an enemy of Christians until Jesus showed him Himself
Peter denied Jesus, but was reconciled to Him after His resurrection
For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth,
to shew Himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward Him. Herein thou hast done foolishly:
therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars. 2 Chronicles 16:9
Which human has the right to throw another into the trash heap,
or as is the case, Hell’s fire, as I have been hearing?
People need to be careful before their Maker
who supports all whose hearts are perfect toward Him
Not one of those who condemn another to Hell
will escape sternness from the Lord regarding their own righteousness
They are lacking mercy, grace and God’s love
They are counting themselves better than others
That is the opposite of what God’s word says:
Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind
let each esteem other better than themselves. Philippians 2:3
